Forma Esse is a creative studio focusing on handcrafting sculptural and taper hand-dipped candles. The studio is being run by Alina Asayonak, founder, multidisciplinary artist, and photographer.
Natural Ingredients & techniques
As nature is the main source of inspiration behind my work I choose materials such as beeswax or other natural waxes, and cotton wicks. Sourced locally as much as possible.
For sculptural candles the creative process starts with collecting ideas and inspiration for sculptured shapes followed by creating prototypes out of clay. And in the end, making moulds for candles based on those shapes.
For taper candles I use a traditional technique when layer by layer I dip the candles. The technique is slow and takes its place in Roman, 500 BCE. This is what makes these candles special, mindful production by hand that links us to our roots.

Forma Esse mission is to bring quality candles and art objects into interior spaces and inspire a more connected and slower life by reconnecting with handcraft and natural materials.
